We did a trip to Dallas this weekend to visit family and so that Karl could do an obstacle race with his cousin Beni. it was so fun to get to know Karl's cousins here and even though Karl got pretty battered during the race, it was still a lot of fun. Battle wounds, right? Its a good thing he is on pathology and behavior medicine rotation because his hands are too thrashed to do surgery right now (he said he wouldn't have done it right now otherwise)

The drive wasn't too bad. It was only 4 hrs and there were more wild flowers along the road than i have ever seen in my life. Wish i had gotten a good pic of them. The kids were good too! Poor Karl pretty much had to do all the driving though because I would lean over a buckled in macie to nurse her so we wouldn't have to stop, pass out the snacks, change the movies, etc.

Miri came by after Karl's race too, but Karl says his brain wasn't working well enough to take a picture then :) i wish we would have taken more pics and things especially of all the kids playing. My girls are still asking for their "cousin friends"
