A lot of big and exciting stuff has been happening in our lives as of late. The first week of June we moved to West Des Moines Iowa. We moved here because I'll be studying podiatry at the Des Moines University Medical School, http://www.dmu.edu/. School starts Augest 4th.
We were able to pack all of our stuff into a "Upac" trailer and move in a fairly smooth manor. Some of our stuff did get beat up in the move because our things were jammed so close together in the trailer (you pay less if you take up less room). The drive wasn't that bad, considering it took about 16 hours. The landscape was a nice alternate to the classic UT to AZ drive. After we arrived, we had Tom and Susan (Jess' parents) help with the unloading in Iowa with a Penskie truck they rented. We needed the truck because another way to save money with Upac is to pick your stuff up at their terminal rather than have them deliver it to your house. Plus, they had a couple of couches and dressers to give us.
We really like it in West Des Moines. The area is growing really fast so it has a nice mix of the rual and the city life. There are dirt roads on one side and CostCos and Wal-Marts on the other, the best of both worlds. Plus, the apartment complex that we live at has several LDS families that are friendly and welcoming.
After a couple of weeks of moving in and getting to know the neighbors in the area we made a trip to Indiana. We're here now visiting Jess' parents. It has been fun to spend some time with Jess' parents because we don't see them that often. One fun thing we did yesterday was visit and Amish community one town over. It wasn't quite what I expected and it supprised me how appealing their life actually was, but I love modern stuff too much to do what they do.

Shaylee and Camille are on the brink of walking. We got some video footage of it. We'll put up pics of our new place when we get back to Iowa.

I cannot believe how fast they are growing. Its only been about a month since you left. I do miss you guys though. Happy your on the next phase of your adventure in life. Now I got to muster up the courage to do so as well.
