Karl Starts School

Karl had his first day of school on Tuesday. He began with a week of orientation and his classes will begin on Monday. Already he has been studying a lot, though, and is on campus for long hours. His schedule will probably be from 7am-6pm pm campus, so I guess that we are moving into a regular family routine.

Other news includes the girls finally walking! They are a little unsteady, but that is the primary way that they get around. Shaylee was actually the first. Once she learned to balance she started to bulldoze around. Careful Camille, who has been on the verge of walking for months now, saw Shayee doing it and said, "Oh, it seems safe after all." She was quick to follow since she has been taking steps for a while.

Also, Tom (step dad) tore his Achilles tendon all the way and had to get surgery from a podiatrist yesterday. The doctor said that Karl could sit in on the surgery, too bad that we were so far away. The surgery went well and he now has to stay off it and keep it elevated for about 3 weeks. He gets a cast on Monday.

Pictures will come. I just thought too much has happened to not post at least something.
